This is one of the most popular and spectacular local events, organized by the Chupa Yacht Club, with the participation of yachtsmen from Karelia, Arkhangelsk, and of course the Murmansk region and Kandalaksha itself.

The festival is held yearly since 1998, and is intended to promote the Pomor culture and newly-fashionable “healthy lifestyle”.
Four and two-oar boats, both classic and flat-bottomed, are used.

Inter-regional yacht competition will be held June 27-July 3 near Chupa organized by the Sea Y acht Club of Chupa .
15 yachts are expected to take part in the race from the port to the labyrinth. The event starts at 5pm, with the race beginning at 6pm. At 8pm awards will be given, and a concert for visitors held during the race.
Weather-related changes are possible.
The 18th Pomor Rowing Regatta is scheduled for June 20, starts at 12 noon, in the Malaya Pir-Guba bay in Umba. Anyone in possession (own or rented) wooden boat is welcomed.
