A brass band by the fountain

It was not a state holiday. No money collection box. Not even an audience. Just seven dignified bold or gray-haired formally dressed men playing tunes from the 50s and 60s.  Even with telephone camera Alexandra managed to capture a time-warp Sunday in Kandalaksha. See http://alexandragor.livejournal.com/80503.html  The last time I recall something like that in Moscow was a uniformed train man playing on grand piano in Yaroslavsky train station. It was back in the days when Yeltsin was still around and options were open.
