Cameras made in Russia and abroad are from the collection of the Murmansk Regional Local History Museum and the private collection “Photo Art Gallery”.
Of the greatest interest may be the portable plate camera Photocor-1 made in 1930s by the Leningrad State Optical-and-Mechanical Factory. Most visitors will recognize one-step photoprocess camera Polaroid 636 Closeup (Great Britain) and USSR-produced cameras from 1950-1990 such as Chayka, Zorki, FED, Zenith, Smena, Silouet Elektro, or Kiev. This exhibition shows well the “evolution” of photo camera industry in the course of the 20th century.
