I got a few enquiries about her, and see her name in my site’s search stats once in a while. Thus it may be time or even overdue to present this distinguished artist formally. Here is a summary about her taken from kola.gallery:
Irina Vital’yevna Sitdikova was born in the Urals area in the city of Sim of the Chelyabinsk region in 1965. Graduated from the Perm College of Arts. Since 1981 she is living in Apatity. From 1995 she is a member of the Union of Apatity Artists “Gallery M”. Irina is a constant participants of the city, regional, and inter-regional exhibitions. He personal exhibitions had been held in Murmansk, Apatity, Kirovsk, Kandalaksha, Monchegorsk, Kem, and Keminmaa (Finland). She had illustrated books for the Kola branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, collections of poetry for literary union “Alash” (Kirovsk), publications by the Kola Center for Wild Nature Preservation: Ter Pomors (2007), Kanozero Stone Carvings (2012), Historic and Local History Almanach “Land of Tre” (2013). Works of Irina Sitdikova are kept at the Murmansk Regional Arts Museum, the Museum of the History of Exploration and Study of the European Russian North, in private collections of Russia, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Norway, and other countries.
Irina is an active participant of the Kola Center for Wild Nature Preservation and a chair of the Russian-Finnish Friendship Society “Naapurit”, and is learning Finnish.
