An exhibition of toys and household items from the “Soviet childhood” of the 70s and 80s, with an attempt to recreate the atmosphere of these years, opened on June 1 in the Murmansk regional history museum.
Dolls, stuffed toys, puzzles, board games, clothing, “young pioneer” and school items..
A typical classroom from the end of the Brezhnev era, a young pioneers’ group room, and a school student’s room are faithfully recreated.
The exhibition includes both museum’s own and private collection articles. The museum people took this exhibition very personally, and contributed their own school items.

The exhibition is on the entire summer till Sept. 10.
The museum is open daily from 11am to 6pm. Closed Thursdays and Fridays.
Free entry to people under 18 last Monday of every month.
